FROM HERE TO ETERNITY, the new musical from Tim Rice to be staged in 2012.
Tim Rice and Lee Menzies are to stage a new musical adaptation of James Jones’ From Here To Eternity next year.
Rice is collaborating with writer and composer Stuart Brayson and Bill Oakes, who is developing the book, for the show. Jones’ 1951 novel is set in Hawaii in 1941 and includes the attack on Pearl Harbour in December that year.
The production will be directed by Tamara Harvey, who is an associate director at London’s Bush Theatre and recently directed Smash at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
The theatre has not yet been announced.
