We'll tell you as soon as tickets go on sale:

David Schwimmer, known to most of the civilised world as ‘Ross from Friends’, will star in the world premiere of Neil LaBute’s new play Some Girl(s), which will open at the Gielgud theatre on May 24, following previews from May 12.

Although Schwimmer came to fame through television’s most successful sitcom, he is a theatre man at heart. On graduating from Northwestern University in 1988, he co-founded Lookingglass Theater with fellow students; a company with which he is still involved. His productions with Lookingglass include West, The Jungle, In The Eye Of The Beholder, The Odyssey and The Idiot. In addition to Friends, Schwimmer has also been seen on the small screen in Spielberg’s epic mini-series Band Of Brothers, LA Law and NYPD Blue, and on the big screen in The Pallbearer and Six Days, Seven Nights.

Schwimmer will be the lone male in a cast of five. Described as ‘an irreverent stumble into the heart of darkness that is the modern single man’, Some Girl(s) is concerned with a soon-to-be-engaged Alpha male who makes a round trip to four former girlfriends before taking the plunge.

Some Girl(s), whose original working title was reportedly a little less savoury, will have high standards to live up to as it follows Don Carlos and One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, which were both well received, into the Gielgud.
