Make your Christmas a cracker with this family treat that will melt your heart. Join the Boy as his Snowman comes to life and they embark on a magical adventure far across the world. Meet a host of woodland creatures, an assemblage of international Snowmen, and even a dancing Pineapple.
There’s snow place like home, and The Snowman returns for it’s 27th year at the Peacock. This is a magical stage adaptation of the much-loved picture book by Raymond Briggs and the film directed by Dianne Jackson.
Directed by Bill Alexander and featuring music and lyrics by Howard Blake, including the classic song ‘Walking in the Air’, thaw-some design by Ruari Murchison, winter-full lighting by Tim Mitchell, and marvell-ice choreography by Robert North, all of which is accompanied by a live orchestra.

At first I was a little confused, because of the non-speaking acting. But after just a little while and after thinking about it I really like this concept. Because of this people whom do not speak english (properly) are whom are deaf can enjoy this piece as well. The whole play is very well understandable without vocals. Thank you for this experience! :)
My children and I loved this show, it was truly magical!
Slow start to a great show
Took three grandchildren. First experience. I was surprised at how crowded it was but seats were good and they enjoyed the performance.
A beautiful and magical production which follows the classic story in the book and animated film. The dancing and live music is excellent, and there are lots of clever techniques employed to convey elements of the story, like the light switch, the scaled up furniture to accommodate the cat, and the flying of course. The scene with the real motorbike and sidecar and the wildlife animals jumping out of the way was a real treat too. Thoroughly recommended for all the family.
It really wasn’t for me or the family. It was very true to the story but I didn’t enjoy the show at all. More about my personal taste than the show
Good show, kids loved it
This was my 2nd visit. I first watched The Snowman before lockdown era… and what can I say, it was a very nostalgic experience. This time, it was good, but I felt the bit where we meet father Xmas scene was too far off the original story, and dragged a bit. The ending wasn’t the same as my first visit. Due to my hidden disability I didn’t have enough leg room to riggle my feet to keep my blood flowing and moving my muscles , so ended up with back pain the next day. Anyway, all in all was great evening spent with my loved ones… what’s not to like about The Snowman.
Nice for children!!!
The price was discounted and fairly ok, that was a promotion though. My friend wanted to buy tickets at a later date and there was full price available only, £60 for a ticket is quite a lot
Very disappointed that my ticket could not be amended at short notice due to becoming unwell. I contacted the theatre to inform them of this and explained I thought it would be irresponsible of me to attend a largely public place and risk spreading to others.
Excellent production, did not see a programme for sale

London Theatre Review: The Snowman at the Peacock Theatre
The Snowman is a story which plays a large part in every Christmas, just as the Coca-Cola advert or Michael Bublé singing on the radio. The story follows a young boy as his Snowman comes alive and they begin a night of adventures together in the snow.
